Supporting Independent Living with Care and Compassion
At Norvick House, we provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for adults who are ready to live independently but may still need a helping hand. Our eight self-contained bedsits offer privacy and autonomy, while our dedicated staff are on hand to provide tailored support that helps each resident thrive in their own space.
Whether it’s managing finances, attending health appointments, or simply keeping their home clean and safe, we’re here to help. For those who no longer need regular support, our drop-in service offers flexible, on-demand assistance when needed.
We also extend our care beyond Norvick House through our outreach service, supporting individuals in the wider community to maintain their independence at home. Our team works closely with each person to create a support plan that fits around their lifestyle, appointments, and personal goals.

With over 18 years of experience as a Registered Manager, Joan brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to health and social care.
She has played a key role in shaping the high-quality, person-centred services at Spencer House, where her leadership and commitment have made a lasting impact.
Joan’s journey into the care sector was inspired by personal experience, seeing the positive difference that compassionate care made when her own father needed support motivated her to pursue a career in the field.
Her passion for providing exceptional care continues to drive her work every day.
Outside of her professional role, Joan enjoys creative pursuits, particularly sewing and other crafts, which allow her to unwind and express her artistic side.
