A client and two adults

Raina's Journey with Viking Day Care

Raina lives at home with her family, she has complex needs. Raina attended Lancaster School until 2018 when she transitioned from education to Viking day provision.

With the new environment and staff team her transition from school to an adult service escalated her complex needs. Staff worked closely with her and her family to build positive relationships, recognise specific triggers and alleviate some of those complex behaviours.

Raina is supported on a 2:1 ratio so she can experience all that the service offers and engage in a variety of activities.

Her mum says: "I have never see Raina so happy as when she is getting ready in the morning."
