Arts & Crafts Afternoon at Brook Meadows House
Creative Afternoons at Brook Meadows House:
Decorating Bird Boxes, Trinkets & Photo Frames
At Brook Meadows House, we believe that creativity, companionship, and meaningful activities are essential to a fulfilling life. Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with colour, conversation, and creativity, thanks to the efforts of our fantastic Activities Coordinators, Norma and Sue.
Norma and Sue organised a fun and engaging arts and crafts session, where residents had the opportunity to decorate bird boxes, trinkets, and photo frames. The activity was not only a chance to get creative, but also a great way for everyone to express themselves, share stories, and enjoy each other's company in a relaxed and supportive setting.

Each resident brought their own personal touch to their creations, painting vibrant colours, adding decorative touches. The photo frames were especially popular, with residents talking about which cherished pictures they planned to display once the frames were dry.
These kinds of sessions are more than just enjoyable, they’re also therapeutic, confidence-boosting, and socially enriching. They give residents a chance to try new things, connect with others, and take pride in their achievements.
Norma and Sue do an incredible job bringing energy, care, and creativity to our activity programme. Their sessions are always tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents, making sure everyone feels included and engaged.
We’re already looking forward to the next craft afternoon, and can’t wait to see what the residents create next!
