Support Worker - Tenanted Services

Southend Care are currently recruiting a part time Support Worker who cares about making lives better to join their team of existing staff to deliver high quality person centred and compassionate care.

As part of the Support Team, you will provide support and care to service users living in their own homes, maximising their independence and health & wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of the Support Worker may include but is not limited to:

* Visiting service users in their own home and in the community

* Assisting them with general household chores / Laundry

* Assistance with Housing and Benefit Application Forms / Paid or Voluntary Job Applications

* Managing their finances and paying bills

* Shopping for food and clothes

* Accessing the Community – which may include medical appointments, financial meetings and shopping.

* The role may include Personal Care (full training will be provided)

We are looking for an individual who has:

• A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our service users
• Minimum of 6 months experience working independently with adults with a learning disability
• Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care Desirable
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with sensitive issues.
