Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Health & Social Care trainer to join our friendly team. You will play a vital role in equipping staff with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver outstanding, CQC-compliant care and support. Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging health and social care training programmes, including:
- Mandatory training (safeguarding, moving & handling, first aid, medication, infection control)
- Care Certificate induction for new starters
- Specialist training such as dementia awareness, mental health awareness, substance misuse, and person-centred care
- Create bespoke training content aligned with legislation, CQC requirements, and best practice in adult social care
- Facilitate induction programmes and support colleagues in achieving the Care Certificate
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training (face-to-face and e-learning) to continuously improve delivery
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance reporting is up to date
- Promote a positive learning environment that supports staff retention and professional development
- Explore and utilise external funding streams to enhance training provision
Ideal Candidate:
- Recognised training qualification (AET / PTLLS / CTLLS or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Health and Social Care Trainer / Social Care Trainer / L&D Trainer within the adult social care sector
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards, Care Certificate delivery, and mandatory training requirements
- Passionate about supporting learners and embedding a strong training culture
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills
