Building Maintenance

As our building maintenance, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager to ensure the maintenance and safety of the home and grounds. We are looking for someone who loves general maintenance tasks and undertaking basic repairs including basic carpentry, decorating and grounds maintenance to maintain the standards of the home. You will make health and safety your priority and ensure the highest standards are always delivered in accordance with legislative guidelines.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and safety audits are completed as per required schedules and any areas of concern are highlighted to the Registered Manager.

You will understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the homes, including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety and ensure all staff understand and adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures within the home.

We are looking for a caring, can-do person with experience working in building maintenance. Additionally, you much be very practical and should like dealing with people, having the ability to build good relationships with residents, colleagues and contractors. You should be able to work well under pressure and use your initiative to solve problems with a priority on safety. Above all, we are looking for a team player who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for all.
