Working alongside our Head Chef, you’ll help prepare, cook, and serve delicious, nutritious, restaurant-quality meals that bring joy to our residents and meet a wide range of dietary needs.
This is a rota-based role, with variety, teamwork, and the satisfaction of knowing your skills make a difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in planning, preparing, and serving varied menus that promote residents’ health and wellbeing.
- Ensure all meals meet dietary requirements, including specialist diets.
- Follow food hygiene and safety standards to create a safe, welcoming kitchen environment.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and budgeting to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Step up to deputise for the Head Chef when required, including attending meetings.
- Help supervise and develop catering staff, fostering teamwork and high standards.
 About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A warm, personable approach with a genuine passion for supporting residents’ wellbeing.
- City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent in catering.
- Experience working in a busy kitchen, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- A strong commitment to customer service and quality.
- Experience catering for large numbers (care sector knowledge would be advantageous
