At Southend Care Ltd we are proud of our Brook Meadows House Residential Home, and we are looking for a Bank Housekeeper who is reliable, thorough and is proud of their attention to detail.

As a Bank Housekeeper you will play an important role in ensuring that the home is kept clean, tidy and welcoming for everyone who lives and works here. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality cleaning, domestic and laundry service throughout the service, assisting in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for the residents. The role involves carrying out a range of routine housekeeping duties to Southend Care’s required standards, while following all relevant statutory requirements, company policies and procedures whilst remaining in line with COSHH regulations.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the tasks on the daily housekeeping job schedule are completed to the highest standard and that appropriate records and documentation are maintained. They will use cleaning equipment and resources safely and correctly, report any faults or damage to equipment, and identify and report hazards, repairs or other issues that may affect the safety and wellbeing of residents, visitors or colleagues.

The role also involves working closely with colleagues across the service and, when required, supporting the Head Chef and catering team during mealtimes to ensure residents are appropriately supported.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the overall aims and objectives of Southend Care. They will be required to always demonstrate Southend Care’s values at all times and work as part of a team to provide a high-quality service.
